Bed Bug Repellent

Several home remedies for bed bugs are advertised as bed bug repellents on the internet. These can be as simple as homemade concoctions of cayenne pepper, to rated consumer products. These products claim to repel bed bugs. However, the truth behind these remedies is that most of them don’t work. People begin to despair when these products prove unsuccessful in repelling or eliminating the infestation. It is not uncommon for people to throw away expensive furniture, including mattresses and cabinets, as a last-ditch effort to get rid of bed bugs. This is expensive and usually unnecessary.

Many common pesticides are also less effective at controlling bed bugs. This is because pesticides are designed to work as repellents. They can kill bugs on contact, but approaching bugs can sense the residue and steer clear. This is undesirable for a bed bug infestation, as it will drive bed bugs further into hiding. Popular pesticides such as bifenthrin and demand cs will only cause bed bugs to become more deeply entrenched in your home.

The only solution to a bed bug infestation is to kill the bed bugs. Phantom is an effective product designed specifically to kill bed bugs. Phantom is effective because it is a non-repellent. Bed bugs can’t sense it, so they will continue to cross over it. Phantom is an aerosol spray that leaves a deadly residue for bed bugs. This product should be applied three times every ten days. It can be sprayed into crevices, behind furniture, and other hiding areas. Phantom continues to kill bed bugs for several weeks after application.
